Membership

DoctorHere is an online doctor and nutritionist telemedicine service that goes beyond traditional healthcare. Currently we offer two membership types our patients can choose between:

  • Basic
    • Unlimited virtual care from your personal doctor
    • Easy medication refills and new prescriptions
    • Same-day appointment
    • Specialist referrals
  • Prime: Everything in Basic, plus:
    • Unlimited virtual care from your doctor & nutritionist
    • Set your goals and get personalized care plan (treatment + nutrition + lifestyle)
    • Unlimited chat and support from your nutritionist and care managers

Our Basic membership is designed to provide consistent care not only to cure your acute sickness but to keep you healthy by improving your overall healthcare routine. Most of the time, it takes more than one visit to see results.

Our Prime membership is a comprehensive 12-month program that emphasizes nutrition, exercise, and behavioral therapy to promote long-term chronic care management and weight loss. This program includes:

  • Regular meetings with doctors for medical supervision and education.
  • Formal assessment and follow-up with a dietitian, including nutrition education, meal advice, and review and analysis of the patient’s food diary.
  • You can cancel your membership anytime in the first 30-day trial period. If you cancel your first-month trial before your initial visit, we will provide you with a full refund. After the first visit, we cannot issue a refund.
  • After the first trial month, there is a 12-month commitment. If you change your mind and decide to cancel your membership within 48 hours of purchase, you may request a full refund and withdraw from our program. Refunds take 5-7 business days to be processed and reflected in your account.
  • If you change your mind and decide to cancel after 48 hours of joining, but before your first doctor’s visit, you may withdraw from our program without the refund of what you already paid. 
  • If you applied a coupon code when you joined, your refund will reflect the discounted amount.
  • After you made a doctor’s visit after the trial period, your 12-month membership will officially begin and you will be billed monthly afterward. 
  • For international customers, you can still see a doctor online.

    However, our doctors are unable to prescribe medicine or request testing internationally.

No. Each individual over 18 years old must create their own account under their own legal name. If you have a child who needs our service, you must create an account on behalf of your child and be present when the child is seeing our care team (doctor & dietitian).  

Yes, your membership will automatically renew at the end of your trial month for a 12-month commitment. 

You can opt-out from automatic renewal of your Membership at any time, prior to the date you start your 12-month commitment.

After your Membership officially begins, you will be charged monthly for 12-months before you can cancel. 

Visit the “My page” tab > “Withdraw”. 

Please fill out the withdrawal application form, and we will assist you as soon as possible (4-7 business days). 

You may upgrade your plan from Basic to Prime at any time of your membership period. Please simply give us an email at support@medihere.com and we will be happy to assist you. 

Billing & Insurance

You don’t need insurance in order to use DoctorHere services.

Unlike traditional primary care, DoctorHere delivers unlimited access to our care team through our app for one flat rate with no hidden fees or copays.   

Simply sign up for our membership and you can enjoy limitless visits with our doctors and nutritionists.

Many insurance companies and the healthcare providers that work with them are focused on short-term outcomes and profit without thinking about the patient’s long-term health.

Due to these reasons, we operate separately from insurance where we will not bill your health insurance or charge co-pays for doctor’s visits, prescriptions, care coordination, or any other services we provide for you. 

Instead, all of the services we provide are covered in the costs of your monthly membership fee.

However, our members do have the option to pay through their HSA or FSA accounts.

You can pay for DoctorHere membership with your HSA/FSA account.

  • Please note that the fee cannot be paid using your HSA, FSA, MSA, or HRA debit or credit card. You will have to manually submit your claim.

You can chat in your app to let your Care Team know that you’d like to receive monthly receipts for your HSA or FSA. They’ll then send them to you every month so that you can submit the receipts for reimbursement.  

If needed, we will provide relevant documents requested by your benefits administrator as well.

Prescription

Your doctor will send your prescription to the pharmacy designated by you after the visit so you can pick up your medication directly from the pharmacy. We also have a delivery option for some locations. Please consult your doctor if you’d like your prescriptions to be delivered.

 

For refills, DoctorHere generally does not prescribe more than a 90-day refill within a 6-month period.

Our doctors are able to prescribe a wide range of drugs, which can be useful for treating infections, allergies and other minor health concerns.

DoctorHere does not prescribe elective medications, certain anticonvulsants, narcotic pain relievers, or other drugs listed as controlled substances by the U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency or regulated under State law. 

At the end of your appointment booking, you will be required to put in your home address along with a pharmacy at which you’d like to pick up your prescription. 

If you’d like to change the preferred pharmacy, visit the “My page” tab > “My Pharmacy”. 

Visit the “Record” tab and select the most recent visit where your prescription you need to pick up was issued.

The status of your prescription will be displayed on the “Prescriptions” tab. 

If your prescription is ready, the status will be displayed as “ Prescription sent to the pharmacy!”.
